 Description

zabbix supports extracting variables from a webpage based on regexp... unfortunately, that is the only place in zabbix where the keyword is "regex", not "regexp" (used in item keys, trigger functions etc). that is quite confusing.

it would be great to move to "regexp" here as well. an upgrade patch could change all the existing instances.

(1) there seem to be a few minor places in the frontend ( include/classes/items/CHelpItems.php ), too :

  • 'snmptrap[<regex>]'
  • 'Catches all SNMP traps from a corresponding address that match regex. Default regex is an empty string.'
