 Description   

Failed to import(updating) XML Template where Application name case was changed.

To reproduce:

  • Export default Linux OS Template
  • Change Application name from 'Cpu' to 'CPu'
  • Save xml and Import back

Error is produced.

Import failed
Application "CPu" already exists.

Could it be a yet another case of a case-insensitive database?

I meant ZBX-6323, its duplicates, and other related issues like ZBX-10307. How was the database created?

or show create database zabbix / show create table applications

Yes.database probably was created without case aware option.
