Does the issue reproduce reliably? Did it start crashing after an upgrade? Would it be possible to attach a DebugLevel=4 log that shows what items Zabbix was trying to process before the crash? What OpenIPMI library version are you using? |

This issue has been reproduced several times since zabbix upgraded to 3.0.3 from 2.2.2 version. unfortunately, DebugLevel=4 was disabled, so i can not attach this type of log, but i will enable it. Evgeniy, thank you for the log! Since Zabbix server crashes in an unreachable poller, it means that the monitored IPMI device was unreachable at that time. Does it crash every time an IPMI device becomes unreachable or just occasionally? Does it crash only on this particular device (192.168.16.7) or any other? Did you disable and then enable this IPMI host prior to the crash? If you upgrade the OpenIPM library, does it solve the problem? How did you install Zabbix? Did you compile from sources or install from the repository? If repository, then which one: Ubuntu or Zabbix official? Was OpenIPMI upgraded at the same time as Zabbix? Version 2.0.18 was released about 6 years ago. The latest version is 2.0.22, see https://sourceforge.net/projects/openipmi/files/OpenIPMI%202.0%20Library/ . |

zabbix installed from zabbix repository: #cat /etc/apt/sources.list.d/zabbix.list deb http://repo.zabbix.com/zabbix/3.0/ubuntu trusty main deb-src http://repo.zabbix.com/zabbix/3.0/ubuntu trusty main OpenIPMI wasn`t upgraded with Zabbix. I used repository to upgrade OpenIPMI, and 2.0.18 is the latest one in Ubuntu repository. I will build it from sourceforgre.net if it is necessary to have latest version. |

It means that it crashes inside OpenIPMI, but we are not sure yet where exactly is the problem and what a potential fix can be. This is still to be investigated. |
