Zabbix Java Gateway runs as root. I changed the systemd unit file to make it run as user 'zabbix', and changed ownership of the log file and it worked without a hitch. Since it doesn't have drawbacks that I'm aware of and it's more secure, why not change this setting? |

Is this a problem with official Zabbix packages provided by Zabbix LLC? |

Yes, packages are installed from the Zabbix Official Repository. |
