zabbix 3.2 from debian 7 repository (upgraded from 3.0.4)
zabbix 3.2 from CentOS 7 repository (upgraded from 3.0.4)

when I got to check why some web scenario's triggers didn't fired up, I discovered that after upgrading from 3.0.4 to 3.2 all items and triggers related to all web scenarios disappeared.

I tried to add a new web scenario (as I used to do in previous versions) and any new item has been added to the host, but web scenario graphs still work.
(Web monitoring items says zabbix should automatically create items based on scenario)

This happened on 2 zabbix server upgraded from 3.0.4 to 3.2 (1 on debian 7, 1 on centos 7).

I'm not using templated web scenarios

Could you please elaborate a bit on the problem? The fact that "Websites Check" does not have any items in it (in the sense that there is no number on the right of "Items" in "application-list.png") is perfectly OK in both 3.0 and 3.2 - apparently, Web items are not counted there. Do you have a scenario how to reproduce the issue on a fresh database (e.g., create a fresh 3.0, create a Web scenario and triggers, upgrade)?

The problem is:
on 2 zabbix server upgraded to 3.2.0, old Web Scenario items disappeared.
On both same zabbix, if I add a new Scenario any new item is being automatically added.

Overview

Some new items are automatically added for monitoring when web scenarios are created.

and this is not working. Any item related to web scenario is added.

I did 2 new tests, right now:

1) recent installation of 3.0.4 - when I add a new scenario, related items are not automatically added
2) installed a clean NEW 3.2.0 installation - when I add a new scenario, related items are not automatically added

So, there are 2 options:

  • you changed this behavior and doc is wrong
  • doc is correct, and there is some bug

And this seems to affect also version 3.0.4 (I cannot test on older 3.0 versions).

Just to be more clear:
no-item-with-web-scenario.png shows that I have a web scenario, but any web.test.fail item (filtering by key).

the screenshot has been taken from the fresh new 3.2.0 installation!

Oh, but it has always been like that - Web scenario items are not shown in the list of items for a host in configuration.

OMG. I should getting old and forgetful. I'm using zabbix since old time of 1.6 and I didn't remember this.
