 Description

I have 3 environments running with different versions of Zabbix. All 3 environments do have a couple of Database Monitoring items using ODBC to execute some queries on a Oracle Database.

In version 3.0.4 this is working well and executing a SQL qeury gives me clear results.

In version 3.0.5 and 3.2.1 it isn't working anymore. The zabbix_server.log says "error reason for "server1:db.odbc.select[ABORTED_JOBS,ORACLE_DATABASE]" changed: Received value [?g?*] is not suitable for value type [Numeric (unsigned)] and data type [Decimal]

Why looks the 'received value' scrambled or fuzzy? Because when I start iSQL on the Zabbix Server and execute the same query than iSQL shows me the correct value. But Zabbix is returning this 'garbage'.

Closing as duplicate of ZBX-11213.

Why is this already closed? That other one ZBX-11213 is also already closed. Is there a fix that is easy to implement in my current zabbix environments? If yes, please show me where I can find it.

gpegel, as already discussed on irc, you could test a development version.

this issue was closed because it is a duplicate. creating duplicate issues only wastes developer time, there is no benefit in keeping it open.

please see http://zabbix.org/wiki/Getting_help for support options - if needed, consider the commercial support option, linked from that page
