I'm having the same issue on RHEL 7.4 and zabbix 3.4.1

From what I see this should be fixed in 3.4.2 - it seems to be a known issue and there is a fix. I haven't tested it but from what I understand the fix works.

I'm having the same issue on Zabbix 3.2.7

Scenario: you want to unlink a template from several hosts, and use Mass update to replace templates with a subset of current linked templates.

Steps to reproduce, even on a single host:

1) Create host and link Template1 and Template2
2) Select host and press Mass Update"

  • Link to templates: Template1 (you want to unlink Template2)
  • Replace: yes

3) Error :

Cannot update hosts
Undefined index: inventory [ in hosts.php:385]
array_key_exists() expects parameter 2 to be array, null given [hosts.php:385 → array_key_exists() in hosts.php:385]
Wrong fields for host "".

Duplicates of ZBX-12429

Comment by Ingus Vilnis [ 2017 Sep 26 ]

Closing this issue as duplicate of ZBX-12429.

ZBX-12429 is fixed already and available in Zabbix 3.0.11, 3.2.8 and 3.4.2.
