 Description

Heloo!
I need to monitor a host (linux) via telnet. The host only has port 23 open to check the status. Using any tool when making a telnet (host) 23 the same question for a username and password, this tells me that the host on that port is working fine.
From ZABBIX I do not know how to solve that answer, since the zabbix does not understand if it is right or wrong.
Is there a template that can be used?
I attach images so that it is better understood

You have the item for checking the telnet availability already configured and the config seems to be correct. Is the item not collecting data or where is the problem?

Or do you need to monitor various metrics on that host using telnet only? In this case have a look at the documentation here:
https://www.zabbix.com/documentation/3.4/manual/config/items/itemtypes/telnet_checks

Hi Ingus, use the template pre defined by zabbix but it does not bring data.
Use these two commands telnet.run [Template Telnet Test, <IP>, 23] and net.tcp.service [telnet ,, 23] but none of them brings me data
root@zabbix:/home/appliance# telnet IP 23
Trying xxxxxxxx...
Connected to xxxxxxxxx.
Escape character is '^]'.
Application Required. No Installation Default
Enter Application Name:

Anyway, I can not understand how the zabbix does to understand this answer.
Sorry for my english

Hi Ingus!
I solved it with this key:
net.tcp.service[tcp,<HOST IP>,23]
Thanks for your help.
