 Description

I'm looking for the zabbix documentation, and Oracle is no longer supported as an application backend, but on the requirements page we have the information that it is a prerequisite if we want to run zabbix over oracle. I'm a little lost ... zabbix from oracle support or not?

Hello!

Where did you find that Oracle is no longer supported?

in -> https://www.zabbix.com/download

I can not find the version for ORACLE.
Can I just run in oracle compiling via SOURCE? Is there no package ready for Oracle?

We do not provide Zabbix packages with Oracle support, but yes, you can compile Zabbix components with Oracle support

Does zabbix's Development Focus continue to be for MySQL and PostgreSQL? Which database will be my best support for the tool?

Officially speaking

You can find documentation here for all supported databases
https://www.zabbix.com/documentation/3.4/manual/appendix/install/db_scripts

By running command ./configure --help you can get all compilation options for zabbix_server

MySQL is the most commonly used DB engine for Zabbix installations, and will have a lot of issues with Zabbix already documented, like configuration, performance, partitioning etc.

If you choose not so commonly used database like Oracle, we recommend you having a good Oracle DBA at your office.
