Steps to reproduce:

  1. Install Apache 2.4.12
  2. Enable mod_status
  3. Go on server-status page

Result:
See screenshot "without_server_version.png" where we can see the absence of server version in "?auto" mode

Expected:
See screenshot "with_server_version.png" where we can see server version and more information
The results show up in Zabbix

This behaviour is due to the update from 2.4.12 to 2.4.13 version of apache, as described in the readme history, line 2169 http://svn.apache.org/viewvc/httpd/httpd/branches/2.4.x/CHANGES?view=markup#l2169

Hi Andrei,

That's right. Adding a prerequisites as 2.4.16 version of Apache would be useful. I spent near a day to understand why my Apache version didn't show up in Zabbix !

The interesting part is this one, at "Changes with Apache 2.4.13" :

Hello Jordan,

Unfortunately, this cannot be added to the documentation as a requirement, due to the fact that functionality-wise there is no issues for Zabbix to run with Apache 2.4.12.

There IS an issue. For example, as the documentation said, the Template App Apache by Zabbix agent is meant to report the Apache version, which is not possible with Apache 2.4.12 and lower. Did you see the difference of Apache Status output between the sreenshots I provided ?
