 Description

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Add host with SNMPv3 to monitor Dell iDrac through Zabbix proxy.
  2. Set "Refresh unsupported items" to 60s.
  3. After a variable period, SNMP is unvailable and display "Timeout while connecting to <ipaddress>"
  4. Clone this host, change only name (in my case, add -clone), all other value keep the same.
  5. The clone work perfectly, but after a variable period, the problem appear again.
  6. Disable and re-enable host fix issue, but after a period, the problem appear again also.
  7. Increase debug level. Host with timeout never appear in log. Clone host without problem appear (log output in the Result section below) :

Comment by CHAVIGNY [ 2019 Dec 13 ]

Hi,

Thank you for your reply.

I have no authentication / engineid problem.

After parse old log, when problem begin, I found that for host problem :

The last line set host in unavailable and not enable again.

Exactly same problem of ZBX-9123

There is a very deep and technical explanation about many possible issues in ZBX-8385, is this one of the cases and do you still consider this to be a bug in Zabbix?

Comment by CHAVIGNY [ 2020 Jan 02 ]

I don't know. If is a bug in Zabbix, I report this issue. Otherwise, do you known a possible workaround ?
