duplicates ZBX-17806 Errornous Error Shown in Latest Data Reopened

 Description   

Single quote is shown as error on templated discovery and discovery items.  Seen in the info column of items configuration.  Similar to ZBX-17806.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Create new template
  2. Create new discovery
  3. Create new discovery item
  4. Assign template to host

Additional Notes:

  • I'm using a custom user parameter that executes a shell script for discovery.
  • UserParameter=test.client.discovery,/etc/zabbix/scripts/test.sh discover
  • Attaching test.sh
  • My discovery items are "Zabbix Trapper".  Does not poll, yet still has same error.

Thanks for reaching out to public bug tracker.

Unfortunately I couldn't reproduce this issue (on Zabbix 5.0.1/ centos 8/ nginx).

Have you installed Zabbix from packages or from sources?

 

Can you attach screenshots of your Discovery configuration? And have you added LLD macros or any preprocessing steps?

Zabbix was installed from sources on Gentoo with the following configuration options:
