Yes it saved but no edit after.
Why that character set need for?

Hi

Yes, After saved can't edit  custom message ( Edit link not work in operation tab)

This character is newline in Unicode, I use it for send SMS with Unicode format.

You don't get spaces in SMS without using this character but with regular line breaks?

Hi mir

 

Two other options I can suggest are - use "\n" for newline character, if this doesn't work, you try inserting 3 spaces in the beginning of the lines you want on new line.

Trigger: {TRIGGER.NAME}                       - 1st line can stay
   Trigger status: {TRIGGER.STATUS}           - 3 spaces
   Trigger severity: {TRIGGER.SEVERITY}       - 3 spaces
