 Description   

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Zabbix server 5.2 is running on Centos 8.x servers (A/P cluster mode)
  2. I configured an local email server media type (Exchange 2016) with port 587
  3. Connection security is STARTTLS
  4. SSL verify peer and SSL verify host are not checked 
  5. Set an email account and password
  6. Trying to send an email to IT people
  7. It gives me the error message "Failure when receiving data from the peer"

You need to check mail server log's for exact reason or try to send email from command line (using mail or sendmail for example) to check if server can accept connection from current/active Zabbix Server.
