Interesting. On the same VM where I installed it successfully earlier this morning, I tried to install again.
I removed vm's storage file, created new one and tried again. And this time it failed with the same error as for reporter:

I.e. it's the same VM as it was and it failed after it once worked.

There is a possibly related topic https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1853540

Just did reset for the VM, it rebooted, started installation again and this time installation did not "hang" on the stage.

Tried to recreate drive 3rd time - and again installation fails.

I recall this morning, when I've just created the VM, I did reset it once on beginning, as I forgot to load ISO mage.
So maybe the reset gave me success installation on 1st attempt.

Virtualbox 6.1.16 r140961, installed form Oracle's official packages, on Ubuntu 20.04
