Hi. I'm using vhdx. .vhd extension does not match format ".VHDX"

You need to use the second option. "Use existing virtual disk". AFAIK Hyper-V allows to resize the disk as needed.

Also the problem with installer is due to the fact that current appliance is based on CentOS 8 Stream which turned out to be pretty unstable. Presumably some kernel modules got removed from initramfs.

We need to have appliances to be based on something more stable.

Tested latest 5.4.2 appliances on Hyper-V. Both vhd images and install iso. They work fine.

Are you still getting errors, Solo_the_human?

I'm certainly very uncomfortable, but I just downloaded the Zabbix appliance 5.4.2 image and tried to install it on the Virtualbox 6.1.22 r144080 virtual machine and nothing worked for me.

Also, the error did not go anywhere when trying to install zabbiks on a computer using a usb-flash. The image was unpacked using the Rufus 3.14 program

OK. The installation stalls due to the fact that our netinstall iso is based on and older centos 8 stream iso. Once they release the new boot iso, the old one stops working. We definitely need to address this.

As a workaround consider using actual disk images that we provide. ovf and vhd
