 Description   

many issues with this zabbix template

ex : 

missing sync status

drop data with hearbeat over 6h but use data over 5min to calulate the disk size not making use of context macros just to name a few also the collected data is too frequent it will make the F5 give too much load. the usr filessytem will turn an alarm bc its standard over 90% reading the docs its normal as it is mounted readonly 

 

if you want i can provide the team with a improved version

patrik can you please elaborate on other issues that you dislike in the template as description is really vague.

  • no sync status if you have HA
  • triggers for disk status are calculated based on data over 15min but we drop all values with a hearbeat of 6h so it will never work descent
  • most of the items are monitored every minute causing high load on the F5 certificates ex can be monitored once or twice per day
  • things like total memory and total disk volume will never change or maybe once or twice in the lifespan of the F5 so 1x check per day is more then enough 
  • the disk triggers are with macros but no macro context is used 
    • because of this /usr goes into alarm and we cant overrride it /usr is standard 93% in use

note that some discovery rules are disabled as we have no need for it and there is a link with a custom ping template
