Description |
I'm trying to install Zabbix 6.2 appliance on a virtual machine (proxmox - see screenshots with VM configuration). When starting the VM the installation is started and after few minutes it stops at one of the steps (see screenshot). Please advise, what should I do? Waited for 4 hours but nothing happened. |

Hey, abmike! I managed to reproduce the issue on a Hyper-V host with the netinstall disk you used and another one I built myself for 6.2.2. Disabling KASRL from the kernel command line actually prevented the crash, and I could do so on demand. However, trying to reproduce the failure this morning, I crash wouldn't trigger anymore. Not quite sure what has changed, sans maybe a USB peripheral device I have plugged in/out. Could you please see if this has any tangible effects for you as well? UPDATE: I found what I had changed and it was the number of CPUs. See if increasing the number of CPUs and/or CPU cores affects this. I'll keep digging for the root cause. UPDATE2: I've confirmed that this occurs in VM configurations with 1 CPU, with both the Zabbix Appliance images, as well as vanilla AlmaLinux 8.6 and 9.0 (which we use as the base for the appliance). UPDATE3: It has been decided to document this as a minimum system requirement for appliances for now. |
