 Description

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Changes in configuration...
Issue might have started after upgrade to 6.2 from the latest 5.* Upgraded about a month ago, but just noticed none of my changes were "syncing" to Zabbix. Upgraded the template and deleted and cleared all discovered meraki hosts. None will be rediscovered.

First of all, I am 100% sure that the API Key are setup correctly. I can access my dashboard using Postman and when I run a Test on the discovery item in zabbix, it successfully returns my Meraki tenant information.

However, it has been running for four hours and there have been exactly zero devices discovered. Documentation for this appears to be non-existent. I would very much appreciate if someone could give me som ideas how to troubleshoot this.

Thank you.

Hello Rob,

Could you show which error you have for the discovery rule? Open Configuration - Hosts - find Host with the template assigned - open Discovery rules - check Info column for the red exclamation mark and move mouse over it.

Regards,
Edgar

I do not have any hosts configured with this template. Nothing in the instructions for this template indicates that I need to manually add a hosts. I thought all my meraki hosts were supposed to be discovered.

I went ahead and just added a host called Meraki Cloud and added al the templates. All my meraki devices have now been discovered, but there are zero items/interfaces being discovered.

I have had to revert back to zabbix 5.2, because this template simply does not work and needs to be pulled or fixed. I upgraded thinking this would be a working template. Our ecosystem is Meraki and we need this to work. I acknowledge that this is open source and free and I appreciate that fact and all the effort that is put into this. Please appreciate that I work for a K-8 school district with a limited budget and a staff of two people, including myself. If I could get some update regarding this issue; at the very least to acknowledge that there is indeed an issue ad I am not just missing something stupid. I would appreciate it.

Hello Rob,

I went ahead and just added a host called Meraki Cloud and added al the templates. All my meraki devices have now been discovered, but there are zero items/interfaces being discovered.

Low level discovery is used by this template. Please read the documentation first:
https://www.zabbix.com/documentation/6.0/en/manual/discovery/low_level_discovery

If something is not working, it will show an error for the discovery rules which is useful to troubleshoot this case.
