 Description   

I have an prototype item in a LLD discovery that receive a text with a external check, then I tried in many ways to create a dependent item to process the information of the prototype item but the items never got created by the LLD.

Then I tried to change the master item as a "normal item" from the template and all the new items got created.

After this I changed the master item inside the Dependent item and now, all the items are created and working with the right master item.



I think that is some sort of bug because if it was not supposed to work, changing the master item from a "normal item" to a "prototype item" would remove all the items created  before.

sorry, it is not clear, what master item key in LLD rule? Is it totalOnuOffline?

Hello Alexey.

When I create a Dependent Item Prototype and the Master Item is a Item Prototype(from the same LLD), this item is not created by the template on the selected host.

If I change the Master item of the Dependent Item Prototype for a Item(Outside the LLD), the template creates the item on the host.

After item has been created by the template I can change the master item inside the template, for the Item Prototype(from the LLD) and then the item works as first planned.

Is it more understandable now?

Sorry for the delay, I slept yesterday.
The first Master Item that used whas "olthuawei"onureasoncount",{HOST.CONN},{$SNMP_COMMUNITY},{$SNMP_VERSION},{$SNMP_PORT},{#PONPORT}".. With this master item, the dependent item was not created.
Then I changed the master item for the item totalOnuOnline, which is not a prototype item and all the dependent items got created. After all the items had been created, I changed the master item to the first one again and the items remain created and now working with the right data.

I'll try to reproduce it again here.

I tried right now to reproduce the problem with a different host and creating a new template and it didn't happen... The items got created even if I choose as the master item a prototype item first.

I'll export this templated that I've created and try in another server to see if the problem occurs again.
