 Description

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Configure Macros as documented in https://www.zabbix.com/integrations/jenkins
  2. Add Jenkins server as a Host
  3. Add a host-level Macro for JENKINS_URL
  4. Link to 'Jenkins by HTTP' template
  5. Navigate to 'Latest Data' and select Jenkins server
  6. Service 'Jenkins: Service ping' returns 'Down (0)'. All other Items return no data.
  7. I have inspected the plugin and validated that I can get data back from the passed URL/token values outside of Zabbix

Result:

Latest Data:

Global Macros:
**

Host Macros

Expected:
I can't find any examples of what this SHOULD look like or SHOULD be doing...

I should note that I also set up all of the other documented Macros on the integrations page, I just forgot to mention that

I just added the {$JENKINS.API.KEY} as a host-level macro instead of a system-level macro and the Jenkins service ping item started responding...

All items are now reporting properly, but Discovery of computers and jobs still isn't working with this error:

Ok so I moved the {$ZABBIX.USER} Macro into the host as well and the discovery rules are now working.

TLDR - This template does not use Inherited Macros
