 Description   

Zabbix Server 7.0.4/Proxy 7.0.3

I have a set of hosts being monitored by a Proxy Group.  I set up a new Script as a Remote Command (SSH with sshkey).  I tested the Script as a Manual Host Action and it works fine.  Cloned the Script and set as an Action Operation and added to the Trigger Action.  The action is to restart a service if it is detected down.

As a test, I stop the service on a test system and wait for Zabbix to see it.  The service down is detected, but the Remote Command action Fails with the message "Host is monitored by proxy group, but its proxy assignment is still pending."  The proxy assignment appears unchanged from what I can tell.  If I change the Host from being monitored by the Group to being monitored directly by that same Proxy that had been selected, it works.  Change back to Group (same proxy is selected) and run the test again and Fails with the assignment pending error.  Tested with another Host in the same Proxy Group, but assigned to another Proxy, same error.

I think this is a bug.

Could you please describe your setup in details. In basic configuration - host monitored by a proxy group, action script executed on host - triggering and event on host seems to be executing the script.

It's a trigger action.

Once trigger goes of the action is initiated to execute a command on another server.
That other server is assigned to a Proxy group. When I change that to a single proxy the action succeeds.

[email protected], unfortunately, I’m unable to reproduce the issue on my side. Could you also provide the following information:

  • What is the connection type of the Zabbix proxy (active or passive)?
  • What is the connection type of the Zabbix agent where the script is supposed to be executed?
  • A screenshot of the script configuration
  • A screenshot of the operation configuration in the trigger action

Also, please make sure that your Zabbix server is updated to version 7.0.6 or later.

Hi,

We have Active Proxies
Agent is connected through port 10050.

Zabbix server is 7.0.11. When starting this issue it was 7.0.10
