 Description

Description: Submap elements fail to display maintenance mode when there are trigger elements within the submap. This behavior leads to an inaccurate representation of the submap's maintenance status.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Changes in Configuration:
    • Configure a submap that contains a mix of element types, including triggers and other item types.
  1. Navigate to Screen Title:
    • Access the main map that contains the submap.
  1. Click on Screen Element:
    • Click on the submap element to view its status.

Result:

  • The submap does not indicate maintenance mode, even if one or more triggers within the submap are in maintenance.

Expected:

  • The submap should display maintenance mode even if any of its elements, especially triggers, are in maintenance mode to provide an accurate status overview.

Attachments:

  • Screenshots: Included a screenshot showing the submap without the maintenance mode indication.

This is expected behavior. If the map does not contain elements linked to hosts in maintenance mode, there will be no maintenance information at the level of the element referencing this map.

Good morning sasha ,

I hope there hasn't been any misunderstanding.

Based on what you wrote, it seems I will never see the maintenance mode on the map, even if the submap has only one trigger that belongs to a host in maintenance mode. Is that correct?

I conducted this test with every host group in maintenance mode, which is why I was concerned.

Thank you very much,

Best regards.

Does the map (referenced by the map element) contain any hosts in maintenance mode?
Could you provide a screenshot of this map?

I looked deeper into the behavior in older versions of Zabbix and found that it worked differently before – if at least one trigger belonged to a host in maintenance mode, that host was displayed on the map element. Now, it is not.

This was broken in ZBX-24088.
