Note: the same issue appears for user and guest role Result: users with admin, user or guest role and with default unencrypted connection see "Zabbix server is running" status "No" and observe widget "You do not have permission to perform this operation." error and page "Zabbix server is not running: the information displayed may not be current." warning message. Expected: No error messages, "Zabbix server is running" value should be "Yes". |

I have the same, I see the "Zabbix Server is not running" banner on the botton, which is wrong, and at the reports >> system information : he portrays the status of the server wrongly. The nice part here is that, after the update, he also updates the database and you cannot rollback easily the UI, you would need to rollback the entire setup. At this ticket, I read this:
My brain is quivering trying to understand what is the meaning there.. I am not aware, and I could not find in the documentation a way to configure the PHP UI to reach the server port 10051 in a way that is encrypted. Then im not sure if the reference here is about PHP UI towards Mysql with TLS encryption. Or else?

Reading the ZBXNEXT-8698 I understood about the encryption between server and frontend. But then as I tried to configure with TLS, I could not find the right combination to allow this to work. So lets see if the documentation will clarify what is the configuration of the certificates necessary to make this work. |
