 Description

Currently, it is possible to add a dependency from a host trigger to a template trigger and from a template trigger to a host trigger or a trigger from another template. This should be disallowed.

Fixed in DEV branch: ZBX-3021

Error message window is in the attachments.

One notice: you can add triggers from other templates if that template has no templates linked to it.

Guys,

I have zabbix working in active way in 90% of my templates. I have one trigger in a host to ping www.google.com and I have a trigger in my templates to ping my customer firewall, if my internet connection goes down i just want one trigger fire (Ping to google fail - Link to Internet Down) and all my customer host don't fire, since is my link is down and not the customer link.

It worked until I update to 1.8.5.

Now I receive the following message :

Error adding dependencies. Following dependencies are not allowed: 1) from a host trigger to a template trigger; 2) from a template trigger to a host trigger; 3) between template triggers, where templates have links to other templates.

Now.. if my link goes down, i receive one alert for each of my monitored hosts.

With this new FIX in 1.8.5, how can I workaround this caracteristic ?
