Installed from source files following this: http://www.zabbix.com/wiki/howto/install/ubuntu/ubuntuinstall (all recomended changes in php.ini for 1.8.4 done)

Hi guys,

I just installed successfully Zabbix 1.8.4 on Ubuntu 10.04 Server and when I try to create images, after choose the image I want and click save, the "no image" message is shown instead of the picture, and when i click to see the image a page with the following error messages opens:

imagecreatefromstring(): Data is not in a recognized format ...
imagepng() expects parameter 1 to be resource, boolean given ...

was th database created with utf8 character set ?
how exactly did you create database ?

Oh well, you got it.. My charset was latin1.

Lucky it was brand new installation, i droped table and created again with right charset.. Its working fine now.
