B) switching from proxy to server
1) log is monitored by proxy - lastlogsize is set to 0 for server
2) log monitoring switched to server
3) the whole log is re-read
C) switching temporarily from proxy to server
1) log is monitored by proxy - lastlogsize is set to 0 for server
2) proxy is shut down
3) host is switched to server
4) the whole log is re-read - X new items are read
5) host is switched back to proxy
6) proxy is brought up - lastlogsize is the same as in step 2) for the proxy
7) the last X items are re-read
