Due to a limitation in Zabbix DM setup, it is not possible to add slideshows with screens from different nodes (this should also be looked at)
A workaround for this is to create all slideshows AND screens on the master node.

For this to work you end up adding a bunch of graphs (stored on child nodes) on a screen (stored on the local node). So far so good, just a minor incovenience.

Here's where the issue starts:
Say you want to edit such a screen:

You decide the graph is too wide or should have a different column span or something like that. In a non-DM environment you just click the graph and change the width or column span or whatever. However with my DM setup, as soon as i click the graph, suddenly Zabbix forgets what graph was in that spot and you have to reselect it, going trough nodes, groups, and graphs again,
this is extremely annoying when calibrating width, height of such screens.

(1) It seems now you can't add an element from a child node on a screen.

(2) Try to open screen configuration and then change node in "current node" dropdown in right upper corner. Error appears: Critical error. Field [screenid] is mandatory

<pavels> The error appears, because the node form always redirects to the same controller it has been used from, stripping all of the GET parameters. The screen editor has a separate controller, that's why it doesn't return to the list as in other places. Currently, we only tend to fix big node-related problems, and such usability problems are going to be left for later.

Adding screens from a child node to a slideshow has been fixed for 1.8 in r28335. Other bugs will only be fixed for 2.0 and trunk.

(3) Changes to items.inc.php could be undone as they are partial fix. Regarding the problem I created ZBX-5222.

same for triggers.inc.php

(5) error when adding data overview we discovered on your setup

<pavels> RESOLVED. To reproduce the error, you'll need to created a data overview element for a group, that has a host with no monitored items.

<Toms> CLOSED. This was not the case, but problems seems to be solved. I think the problem was because of group with lots of hosts.

(6) Seems that on your DB appears some minor error. See "screen error.png".

<pavels> That's a map-related problem, I think I broke it when tinkering with a database while working on some other ZBX. CLOSED.

(7) 2.0 branch, rev 28518 resulted in :

open default "Template OS Linux" properties. at the bottom of the page :

Undefined variable: nodeids [api/classes/CHost.php:947]

<richlv> also appears in global search results, configuration -> hosts (but not templates), probably in other locations as well. wondering what does hudson say about that

<pavels> Hudson is unhappy. It was a dumb conflict resolving error, fixed directly 2.0 and trunk. Sorry about that. CLOSED.
