This bug still exists in the latest Zabbix 1.8 version. Is there any update on this issue or has this been fixed in 2.0? |

this is fixed for 2.0 as simple checks now use same item key syntax as other items. not sure whether there's backing for a 1.8 fix |

Hi, we have the same issue on our productive environment and it's currently not possible to upgrade to 2.x on our side. Regards, |

The problem was fixed in 2.0. I am afraid it cannot be fixed in 1.8.x because of serious limitations of trigger expression parser, which parses macros only of item keys in canonical (i.e. aaa[b,c,d,e]) format. Any fix in 1.8 will require significant and risky development work. I am not happy about introducing new issues in 1.8.x, let's keep it rock stable. Sorry for this. |
