 Description   

An acknowledgement has an allowed length of 255 characters.

If it exceeds 255 characters, the acknowledge button wil raise an error returning:

ERROR: 'Cannot acknowledge event'
Value: "acknowledge input text" is too long for field "message" - 456 characters. Allowed length is 255 characters.

If you exceed 255 characters and hit the 'Acknowledge and return' button it won't raise an error and won't save the text either.

We should set a hard limit on text fields, i.e. it must be impossible to enter more than allowed number of characters.

Release 2.0.6 seems to be still affected by this issue.
Submitting an acknowledge message with 255 characters won't raise an error and won't save the message text.

at least in opera with current trunk it acts a bit strange - if i try to enter anything longer than 255 symbols, it visibly shows longer string and then trims it. if you have a way to submit longer message, please, open a new issue (and note browser & database used)
