Icon mapping shows only fallback, default icon at map configuration, but works fine under Monitoring --> Maps

that is by design, similar to macro expansion (except that we have an option to enable macro expansion) - if desired, this should be moved to zbxnext

Is that documented somewhere?
Yes, I though that it can be like macro expanding, but it anyway do fall-back (which basically enables current icon mapping). I think this can be confusing.
