Description |
I installed zabbix-server-mysql 2.4.3 from official packages. I had mariadb-server installed (MariaDB 10.0). Zabbix tried to install MySQL 5.5, which shouldn't be necessary. My mysql-server meta-package is now damaged. |

zabbix-server-mysql packages has dependency "mysql-client" or "virtual-mysql-client". Debian or Ubuntu official mysql-client, mariadb-client, percona-xtradb-cluster-client packages provides "virtual-mysql-client" to keep compatibility with mysql-client package. If the mariadb 10.0 client package doesn't provide such virtual package, it's not possible to replace debian mysql-client package. Or please try to install mariadb-client package first, then install zabbix-server-mysql package. |

I've tried to install zabbix from Zabbix's repo, on Ubuntu 15.04 amd64 with MariaDB. |
