it was concluded today on irc that until zabbix_agentd -t method works for userparametrs, help output should mention that it does not work for userparameters. text could be something like this : this problem has mislead too many people already |

++ To this It was incredibly frustrating to be expecting my userparams to show up in -t and -p and not seeing them. i was pulling my hair out for awhile until i stumbled on the bug. And the bug was not easy to find either. If the fix for the bug is not going to be released into stable soon (i.e. weeks not months/years) , then there should be a big advertisement saying that the functionality is broken. Possible a mention of the bug in the /topic on irc as well. |

no, i don't think there should be link to the bug - just mentioning that it doesn't work and suggesting to use zabbix_get would be enough. i think such a pointer should help everybody who would be doing such testing |
