 Description

Attached you find an improved Template for Interface Discovery. This is an alternative to the existing "Template SNMP Interfaces" (2.0.0rc4 trunk version 27125).

This Template uses LLD to discover all Interfaces, there are two discovery rules. One for 32bit Counters (like ifInOctets) and one for 64bit Counters (like ifHCInOctets).

The Item Prototypes are all SNMPv2, and SNMP Community and SNMP Port is configured by {$USER_MACROS}.
User Macro {$SNMP_C} defines the community, {$SNMP_P} defines the SNMP Port.

Maybe you would like to include that Template?
Feel free to modify it.

Btw: A good place to exchange Templates for the Zabbix Community would be very helpfull.

Indeed an SNMP Template exchange WOULD be very handy as most of the templates are broken on delivery

indeed, some place where one could upload templates, they would be validated, versioned and statistics would be displayed... if anybody wants to create something like that, zabbix.org could be used as the exchange place

in 3.4 and aboe use Template Module Interfaces for 64 bit counters and Template Module Interfaces Simple for 32bit counters.

palivoda Version 2.0 is not supported any longer - https://www.zabbix.com/life_cycle_and_release_policy
