 Description

Could you please add the CPUready metrics to the collected ones for VMs? That's the most important ever metric regarding VM CPU usage, because this is the best indicator of the load. For more information on the importance of this metric, please see the VMWare scheduler whitepapers.

Actually I realized there'd be need for a bit more, I just can't correct the name of the ticket and the description.

So, datastore metrics (according to the docs) are not complete, would be nice to get both the IOPS and the latency for datastore/disk (host/VM) metrics. The two together are useful for detecting storage bottlenecks. If might be there, just the docs weren't that clear to me.

datastore latency seems to be listed in https://www.zabbix.com/documentation/2.2/manual/config/items/itemtypes/simple_checks/vmware_keys

The vmware.vm.cpu.ready key was added in 3.0 (ZBXNEXT-2619)

The datastore latency is returned by vmware.hv.datastore.read, vmware.hv.datastore.write keys (since beginning) and vmware.datastore.read, vmware.datastore.write keys (since 4.0).

So this means only datastore read/write iops metric is missing from the original request (most probably implemented by adding more modes to vmware.datastore.read and vmware.datastore.write keys.

Closing this as a duplicate of ZBXNEXT-2619 for now, if you have any more questions, feel free to reopen this ticket!
