 Description

'error' column in table 'items' can store up to 2048 characters allowing to store rather detailed error messages for items.
At the same time 'error' column in table 'hosts' is still 128 characters. This is too small to provide detailed messages, for example, in case of certificate issuer/subject mismatch.

it's probably worth increasing all error fields at the same time, including :

  • error
  • ipmi_error
  • snmp_error
  • jmx_error

Increased field lengths are available in development branch svn://svn.zabbix.com/branches/dev/ZBXNEXT-2800 .
