 Description

The VMWare discovery is a great feature, however this is very limiting to what can actually be done with hosts and vmware guests. A lot of people want to perform more checks and add more templates into the host to check applications, web events and such.

After the VMs are discovered, they're basically a read-only host and need to be added in twice ( leading to confusion ) but more manual work for everyone. A discovered VM should be editable to also include it's real IP so then additional templates can be added.

Marked as minor as there are workarounds available

The screenshot shows the locked down settings for the VM. The template tab has no options to add additional templates in.
