Description |
Hi, It would be good to provide RPMS binary packages for el6 too (actually, only the el7 ones for x86_64 are available through http://repo.zabbix.com). https://cbs.centos.org/kojifiles/work/tasks/204/70204/build.log Is there a way to track that RFE, or work with someone for this ? |

I create agent, proxy, java-gateway for RHEL5 and 6. Zabbix 3.0 dropped PHP 5.3 support, frontend doesn't work on these distributions anymore. |

For web packages, I'm considering to use rh-php56 packages from Software Collections. It is only way that all packages are fully supported by distributors. However, these php packages have special package name and file layout. zabbix-web* packages may not work with 3rd party php packages. |

Kodai, am I correct that it will be possible to install server & web on RHEL6 using "yum install ..." as usually ? I guess it's possible to install them using "yum install ...", but not sure what I can expect then. |

It's possible to use yum by adding repository configuration. RHEL6 doesn't provide php 5.4 or later, so it's not possible to add dependency with php package. 3rd party php packages don't have "php" for the package name, like php55-php, rh-php56-php, etc. There's no way to solve it. |
