Description |
I think that after introducing the Maintenance Periods feature in 1.8.x, the option of service time management in the IT Services tool should be moved to the Maintenance Periods. These functionalities are overlapping now and it's a little bit confusing. It would be nice to remove downtimes from IT Services and add options to manage them in the Maintenance Periods tool. |

I think the Services downtimes/uptimes should be kept. Have a host which is running two services (dbs). The first service is down because of backup, but the other is running and should be monitored and reflected in IT Services. The maintenance could be used for regular restarts and such things. So I think that these two functions have to co-exist. |

maybe on it service level there should be a checkbox "include maintenance as planned downtime" or somesuch |

Keep in mind that there are no reliable historical records of actual maintenance, see ZBXNEXT-1150! |
