Description |
Hi, I think it will be useful to have some marks on item configuration page in frontend, that will help to determine if item contains preprocessing rule. Some attention mark, for example. It may be helpful while troubleshooting, because of we can forget that preprocessing rule exists. |

A more generic interface change might be implemented: to indicate not empty Preprocessing, Macros, Templates tabs and so on. |

ZBXNEXT-4977 asks the same for Operations tab for Actions. |

What a wonderful feature! Extremely useful in a lot of cases, thank you for that! There is only one thing that concerns me, what is that green dot actually doing, indicating (for example) there is something filled in the fields of the inventory? Can't we get that consistent, with the number of populated field for the inventory? (See screenshot below) Right now it seems like a very inconsistent implementation of this great enhancement... |

rlataria, how hard it is to calculate number of non-empty inventory fields and display those as a number, when inventory is not disabled? |

Hello brian.baekel. Green indicator mean that in this tab some field changed from default state. In inventory its if radio checkbox is set to "Manual" or "Automatic". dimir, its easy. |

@Roberts Lataria : I know what the green dot is doing there, but it looks extremely crazy in that location. In the Tags and Macros field, it is presented how many entities are present (1, 2, 1000) but for the inventory and other fields there is only a green dot.
My suggestion is to populate it with the number of filled inventory fields, to keep things consistent, that's also where @dimir was aiming at with his question. If it is easy to make that calculation, i think it would be beneficial to aim for a as consistent as possible presentation for the user. |
