I would propose being able to (sub)select 'Applications' in Monitoring>Overview

Also, in the configuration of Screens this would be particularly useful. Allowing for picking & displaying only certain Applications on those screens would vastly improve the usability of the Data Overview Screen component.

Guys, One important feature is the ability to save your filters. Perhaps that will be a stage 2.

But if you could switch back and forth between System Level, Application Level, User Level it would be great (Each being a seperate Application or group of Applications)

This patch (using the posted 1.8.7 version in our 1.8.9 environment) is working very well for us in our production environment. Please consider incorporating into the standard release.

I've updated the patch from the forums to 2.0. The patch is based on the 2.0 Branch from SVN revision 28312.

ZBXNEXT-657 suggests an ability to select multiple applications

Is work occurring on either this or ZBXNEXT-657? We've become so hooked on the patch in http://www.zabbix.com/forum/showthread.php?t=22994 that we are holding off upgrading to 2.0.3, which breaks the patch. Just trying to decide whether to work on that patch, or wait for an upcoming release with integrated functionality.

(2) Functions "_initApplications, getApplicationsCB" in class.cpagefilter.php should be commented according to PHPDoc standard.

For functions "get_items_data_overview" in items.inc.php and "get_triggers_overview" in trigger.inc.php should be changed PHPDoc description.

Impossible select overview data in Monitoring->Overview for host groups without application (TRUNK)
Displayed all applications in Monitoring->Overview if selected "not selected" (ZBXNEXT-484 dev branch)

New logic for displaying data and triggers in monitoring overview is as follows:

• if no applications defined -> application option: "all" -> data is displayed;
• if no applications defined -> application option: "not selected" -> no data displayed and no option to choose an application, so user must define one;
• if at least one application defined -> application option: "not selected" -> no data displayed, but possible to choose and application.
