 Description   

Only User macros are supported in SNMO OID, but I'd like to use also {HOST.*} macros.

 

I'd like to share my point of view:

  • discovery rule on Wireless Controller to find all APs connected
  • every AP is an host prototype, using MAC address (translated to decimal) as hostname
  • all items related to this AP are retrieved sending request to controller and using  MAC address (translated to decimal) to compose SNMP OID
