Hello Rostislav,

We are currently implementing major improvements for messaging in scope of ZBX-9522.
One of such improvements is as follows:

Snooze mechanism is fixed.

  • An icon added next to snoozed notification.
  • You can snooze a whole list of notifications of high severity and be assured to receive an alarm when average severity notification arrives, meanwhile keeping list with all event links open.
  • If you snoozed some notification in problem state, it will not play audio when particular problem state becomes resolved.

In other words: there are two buttons 'Snooze' (bell icon) and 'Mute' (speaker icon). On pressing 'Mute' you will mute all current and future sounds till unmuted. On pressing 'Snooze' (bell icon, you are mentioning) only currently playing sounds will be muted any new notifications will play sound.

From reading your problem, it seems like this fix will solve your problem. Am I right?

Well. Our users press both Mute and Snooze buttons because sound are annoying and forgot to "unpress" it. So all next problem sounds are not playing.
As you mention here On pressing 'Mute' you will mute all current and future sounds till unmuted. "till unmuted" that is a big problem because people forgot to unmute.

So as super admin I'm looking for an option to disable ability to control these buttons from user. Ok control only Mute button because "Snoose" disable sound only for current problem.

Two more question.

"On pressing 'Snooze' (bell icon, you are mentioning) only currently playing sounds will be muted any new notifications will play sound."

Is this a new feature or bug fix?
Will this update/fix be available in 4.0.11
Thank you.

Yes, implementation in ZBX-9522 is considered as bugfix, and will be available in 4.0 and above.

Yes, 'Mute' button will mute current and all future sounds. If it is a problem for you, then this task should be left as feature request for adding an option for Zabbix Super Admin to hide 'Mute' button.
Although I would still suggest after implementation of ZBX-9522 to educate your users about different meaning of these buttons.
