Most Network manufacturers have their serial number, IOS version, and mac addresses available via SNMP. For a true NOC to use Zabbix in multi-tenant mode it would be very valuable to have a screen that could pull predefined SNMP OID's based on s/n, IOS ver, MAC address, contact info, product number and automatically add it into the related DB fields and have it display on the inventory page? This would be very valuable instead of having to Manually add this info for every host every time. |

It would be a great feature and it would allow many organizations to consolidate yet another tool into Zabbix. The zabbix_agentd is already aware of all this information, what's missing is automatic inventory population. |

This would be a huge win for our network. As Leon wrote, Zabbix already knows most of this information. All that has to be done is populate the inventory with what it already knows. |
