Description |
I would LOVE to have a way of exporting a screen as a PDF (or possibly ODF) report and use it as a basic system report for archiving and reporting to the client. The way I would see it, is that a screen with a filter applied can be exported containing all the graphs and what not. This would save me a lot of time with copy/pasting graphs into Word docs every month. |

ODF might actually be better (easily editable) although PDF will probably be easier to implement because of the standard php functions. |

It may be easier to facilitate downloading of graphs via the API in which case this functionality can then be moved to an external program. |

that would be great, i have taken a loot at iReports but that was not as easy as stated now we are going to copy and paste the info. |

regarding PHP and ODF, there is a number of libraries, one would just have to choose the best library palivoda, a report we have found to be particularly useful is produced by a script in plaintext (ascii-tables) and csv formats. an example report in the plaintext format, showing the current week and preceding 7 weeks (reduced from the real report for a better layout; sorted by the number of alerts in the current week) :
+-----------------------------+--------------------------------------------+---------+----+----+---+---+---+---+---+
| Host | Trigger | Current | 1 | 1 | 1 | 1 | 1 | 1 | 1 |
+-----------------------------+--------------------------------------------+---------+----+----+---+---+---+---+---+
| poiuy.zz.asdfgh.com | A problem with application database access | 18 | | | | | | 1 | 2 |
| poiuy.zz.asdfgh.com | Processor load is too high on {HOST.NAME} | 13 | | | | | | | |
| qwer.zxcv.lkjhgfdsa.com | Oracle database problem | 5 | 3 | 2 | 4 | 1 | 1 | | 6 |
| mkoijnbhuygv.xxx.asdfgh.com | Error count in this logfile exceeds 666 | 5 | 11 | 10 | | | | 3 | |
| qwer.zxcv.lkjhgfdsa.com | Free disk space on /here/is less than 15% | 4 | 4 | | 4 | 2 | 4 | 2 | 4 |
richlv Thanks! What about availability and capacity reports? |
