It would be very useful for Zabbix to have integration of exporting data via Opentelemetry standards:

I 100% agree and it can also provide a quick way to implement a solid APM monitoring solution without having to engineer everything 100% from the ground up:

I would like also to request support for the OpenTelemetry standard in Zabbix. OpenTelemetry is a vendor-neutral, open source standard for distributed tracing, metrics, and logging.

It would be extremely useful to have support for this standard in Zabbix as it would allow us to collect and analyze data from a wide range of systems and technologies in a consistent manner. This would greatly improve the observability and troubleshooting capabilities of our monitoring system.

Thank you for considering this feature request!

I agree with this. Please add OpenTelemetry as an input to Zabbix.

Native OpenTelemetry integration will be challenge due to Zabbix design.
Partial, quick win will be to have zabbix exporter for OpenTelemetry collector. That one can push trapper item types.
The main drawback for Zabbix design is that Zabbix needs to have all items defined in the Zabbix server in advance. I would say there is no easy way to send not predefined and not host bounded metric from outside - that exactly main OTEL concept.
