 Description   

Top Hosts widget require column name to sort rows, but only data with "item value" type can be sorted.
In my case I used to switch from deprecated Data Overview widget to Top Hosts widget and can't sort rows by "interactive" hostname.
My FR is about adding sort to all kinds of columns and especially to column with "host name" type that is interactive, from what I can dive into host parameters.

Also, if I create column with item value "System name" than I can sort hosts by name, but hosts with "Down" status will disappear from widget. This is non-intuitive and strange behavior.

Hi!
The same problem in the same scenario: I'm trying to migrate from the deprecated "Data Overview" widget to the "Top Hosts" one.
The only workaround at the moment is: to add some item containing the host name (like agent.hostname) and perform a sorting by this item value. However:

  • it's stupid to use an item value for visualization and sorting when we already have the host name column;
  • this workaround requires to have some item returning a host name; it's not always possible;
  • for this task (migration from the deprecated "Data Overview" widget) it would be valuable to have possibility to have a fixed, user-defined order of lines (besides the sorting by some field).
