Description

Plain text widget could be a powerful tool for ad-hoc log file viewing. To provide a better visual presentation it could benefit from the following features:

Configure visibility of Timestamp and Name columns
Option to remove the table header
Option to turn off line wrapping
Option to not maintain the same height for all displayed lines
Change font color based on the regex match
Option to display newer values at the bottom

Corrected the title.

This widget must also support PNG thumbnails from binary items and configurable cells (colors, thresholds, bars, indicators).

It also makes sense to rename it Plain text -> Item history.

Dear DevTeam,
we have tested the new "Item History" widget with a Binary Item.
For the first Binary Item received everything it's working ok and we are able to see the image preview but as soon it will come a new binary value the widget seems to broke in some place and we are not able to see any more images.

Hi dimitri.bellini!

Issues with binary item data display and image rendering in the new Item history widget were fixed in 7.0.0rc3. Please try to update to the latest version and test the widget again, it should now be working as expected.
