 Description

When troubleshooting issues on a Zabbix environment is crucial to evaluate the number of unsupported items over the time, as well the global number of configured hosts or items. For example a performance issue could be correlated with a spike of the number of unsupported item or with a mass host creation.

This information are provided by Internal items, but are missing in the default template.

Please add the following items and corresponding graphs/dashboard:

  • zabbix[hosts] - Number of monitored hosts.    Integer.
  • zabbix[items] - Number of enabled items (supported and not supported).    Integer.
  • zabbix[items_unsupported] Number of not supported items.    Integer.
  • zabbix[triggers] - Number of enabled triggers in Zabbix database, with all items enabled on enabled hosts.    Integer.

These items could negatively impact performance, which is why they were not included in the Zabbix server monitoring template.
