Description |
VMWare monitoring key vmware.hv.status[...] value does not change on kypervisor hardware issues. Values for key vmware.hv.status[...] are zeros whether HW status on kypervisor is OK on not. |

Looks like the right place to get hypervisor health status is VMware Rollup Health State sensor located at runtime.healthSystemRuntime.systemHealthInfo. However retrieving all sensor data would add another ~60kb per hypervisor and currently i don't know a way to retrieve single sensor data. |

Thank you for investigating. Maybe retrieving all the data is the right way, even better if we will be able to collect data from multiple parts of the system. 60kB is not much though. |

(1) [PS] I'm not sure it's a bug but if VMware Rollup Health State has value unknown the item becomes not supported as we do not expect this value as valid. wiper According to VMware documentation 'gray' is an unknown status. I think it's safe to assume that it works both ways - 'unknown' status can be interpreted as gray. dimir CLOSED |
